Characterization of Two ENU-Induced Mutations Affecting Mouse Skeletal Morphology
Using the N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea (ENU) mutagenesis screen, we have identified two skeletal morphology mutants, Skm1 and Skm2. Positional cloning and candidate gene sequencing localized the causative point mutations within the genes coding for natriuretic peptide receptor C (NPR-C) and filamin b (FLNB), respectively. Mice that carry a mutation in Npr3 exhibit a skeletal overgrowth phenotype, resu...
متن کاملAleutian Ancorinidae (Porifera, Astrophorida): Description of three new species from the genera Stelletta and Ancorina.
Two new species of the genus Stelletta and one new species of Ancorina are described from the Aleutian Islands of Alaska and compared to congeners of the region. This is the first record of the genus Ancorina in the North Pacific Ocean. Stelletta ovalae Tanita 1965 is also reported for the first time from the Bering Sea and Alaska.

متن کاملNew genera for two polychaetes of Lepidonotinae
•Among the Lepidonotinae, two species of Lepidonotus are referred to new genera: L. dictyolepis Haswell, from Australia, to Augenerilepidonotus, and L. kumari Rullier, from Malaya, to Olgalepidonotus. As part of an on-going study on the polynoid polychaetes, two species that were described under Lepidonotus Leach, 1816, L. dictyolepis Haswell, 1883, from Australia, and L. kumari Rullier, 1970, ...
متن کاملPolyphasic identification of Sepedonium microspermum isolated from two genera of Boletales in Iran
Moldy Boletus sp. and Xerocomus sp. were collected from several locations at the campus of the University of Tabriz, Iran. Fungicolous fungal isolates were recovered and characterized by the combination of morphological traits and phylogenetic analyses of combined ITS and LSU sequence data. Fungal isolates were identified as Sepedonium microspermum. This is the first ...
